"The matriculants are under so much stress and just between exams and deciding what they're going to do next year... we really want to focus on how we can help them. We've got an awesome programme going where we just want to take a little bit of the pain out of studying, so we've created very intensive workshops, webinars online – which are focused actually on their curriculum."
– Amanda Brown, Owner - MasterGrade IT
Matric final exams are fast approaching, and local IT training organisation MasterGrade IT (MGIT) is stepping up to support Grade 12 learners doing Computer Applications Technology (CAT) and Information Technology (IT) subjects by offering a free, three-day online webinar series.
The initiative aims to ease the academic pressure and help pupils bridge the gap between theory and practice, by teaching coding fundamentals through interactive projects like game-building and emoji generators.
Trainers will be on hand to provide live support, ensuring pupils are not just passive viewers but active participants.
The sessions, taking place from 29 September to 1 October, will be hosted virtually via Microsoft Teams.
