It's the season to spring-clean our homes and finances.
Consider these three Cs to refresh and declutter your budget:
- Cut clutter: Identify unnecessary expenses.
- Clear: How will you get rid of unnecessary expenses? For example, if you have a gym contract but don't use it, consider cancelling to save that money.
- Create: Build new habits to create sustainable wealth. Hold yourself accountable each time you spend.
Some additional finance tips include:
- Review your subscriptions and contracts: cancel what you don't need and keep essentials.
- Hold yourself accountable and be kind to yourself: take time to understand your finances.
- Set a monthly date with your finances: use the time to check your budget, reduce debt, and plan goals toward saving.
- Ask yourself if each expense serves you well or puts you in debt.
- If you have a partner or family, practice open communication about personal finance.
