On Saturday, 21 June is International Yoga Day - of course, Kfm 94.5's fitness and wellness coach, Liezel van der Westhuizen highlights some yoga events happening in Cape Town this weekend for the yogis:

Puppy Yoga & Adoption Morning

When: Saturday, 21 June, 10:45am to 11:30am

About the event: To celebrate International Day of Yoga, SoulFit Studios is teaming up with TEARS Animal Rescue and The Conscious Kitchen for a gentle 45-minute yoga flow — surrounded by playful, adoptable pups.

Clicks Super Tri Winter Series #2 

When: Sunday, 22 June 2025 

Where: Milnerton High School, 48 Pienaar Rd, Milnerton

About the event: Part of the exciting three-event Clicks Super Tri Winter Series, this race offers a perfect challenge for triathlon enthusiasts of all levels — with an added bonus: compete in at least two series races and qualify for the grand prize and finals later this year! 

Ready to test your limits in a fun, controlled environment with top-class facilities? This is your race. 

Race format: 

  • Indoor heated 25m pool swim with lane marshals ensuring safety and support.

  • Stationary bike leg on watt bikes provided by HiTech Therapy—intense, traffic-free cycling indoors.

  • Outdoor cross-country run finishing with scenic views around the cricket field.

Distances: 

  • Super Sprint: 400m swim | 10km bike | 2km run 

  • Sprint: 600m swim | 15km bike | 4km run 

Team relay option:

Form a three-person team where each athlete specializes in one discipline—swim, bike, or run. Each leg is completed individually before passing the baton to the next teammate. 

Race details: 

  • Transitions (swim-to-bike and bike-to-run) are excluded from your official time to allow comfortable gear changes.

  • Registration wristbands and timing chips to be collected 30 minutes before your chosen time slot.

  • Pre-entry online only, closes Thursday before race day or when full; no late entries permitted.

  • Time slots start from 7 am, every 30 minutes.

  • Race briefing five minutes before each swim start. 

Timing & medals: 

  • Swim and bike times manually recorded by marshals.

  • Run timed electronically via timing chip.

  • Medals awarded to all finishers.
