Tributes are pouring following the passing of renowned political journalist Tshidi Madia

The EWN associate Politics editor died in hospital this morning following a short illness

Tshidi spent much of her career holding politicians accountable and always chasing the truth.

Action SA leader Herman Mashaba said although Madia's life wasshort, it was deeply impactful and meaningful.

Her passing is not only a loss to her family but to the entire media fraternity and to the broader institutions and society where Tshidi’s life and work played such an instrumental role.”

Echoing the tributes shared by political colleagues this afternoon, the African Congress for Transformation said, Tshidi dedicated her life to giving a voice to the voiceless.
