702's Gugs Mhlungu interviews Lizette Holahan, owner of the Randpark Ridge outlet, on Weekend Breakfast's Small Business slot.

It's often pointed out that many women wear the wrong size of bra, which causes discomfort and also affects self confidence.

Correct fitting is essential, says the owner of The Bra Guru on the West Rand, Lizette Holahan.

Gugs Mhlungu reached out to her after a recommendation from actress Rami Chuene during an earlier interview.

The Bra Guru has outlets in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Bela-Bela in Limpopo.

From what they see, 70-90% of women in South Africa don't wear the right size! Holahan exclaims.

"You might think 'it's only a bra, no one knows what I'm wearing underneath', but it has a big impact on your overall image and the confidence with which you carry yourself."

At The Bra Guru, they first make sure that your size is correct, before finding the style that works for you, says Holahan.

"We provide a service where we measure and fit our clients. Then we find out what your needs are - do you require wiring or non-wiring, front- or back-fastening, a t-shirt bra or sports bra... all of that. We listen to you, and then find the style that suits you."

Women with a bigger bust often complain about the scarcity of supportive bras which are also 'pretty'.

Holahan gives the assurance that their range caters for everyone.

"We go all the way from an A-cup to a K-cup, with some really great, pretty offerings for the bigger cup. Believe me, it's not just the bigger-cup ladies that struggle, it's those with a smaller cup size as well. We also cater for all back sizes because, at the end of the day, this affects all women."
