SANDF issues warning after video of uniformed member undressing goes viral

The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) has cautioned its members against publishing 'explicit' photographic and video material on social media platforms while in uniform.

This follows the sharing of a video showing a female Defence Force member seemingly starting a striptease, where she begins to remove her military fatigues.

The SANDF reminded troops that their conduct, both on- and off-duty, reflects directly on the integrity and discipline of the Force.

It states that any misuse of the uniform in public or online spaces is considered a criminal act under the Military Discipline Code. 

"The Chief of the SANDF, General Rudzani Maphwanya, together with the entire Military Command Council reiterate their unequivocal warning to all SANDF members that this constitutes a criminal offense under military law and will not go unpunished in the SANDF."

While some commentators slammed the SANDF member, others were more sympathetic, believing that the video had been requested and then posted by her boyfriend.

She's seen stripping down to her underwear, with the clip ending on a suggestive note before the undies are actually removed.
