DA announces Haniff Hoosen as its eThekwini mayoral candidate

The Democratic Alliance (DA) has announced its former member of parliament, Haniff Hoosen, as its mayoral candidate for the eThekwini Metro Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal.  

The party made the announcement in Chatsworth, south of Durban, on Friday. 

It comes ahead of next year's local government polls, where the party says it is setting its sights on the KZN metro. 

Party leader John Steenhuisen said, “It gives me great joy and pleasure to introduce; can I have a drumroll, please? The DA’s mayoral candidate for eThekwini, the man with the plan - Hannif Hoosen.”
