Social media has been flooded with videos remembering late EWN Associate Editor, Tshidi Madia.

She passed away on Wednesday, 28 August, after a short illness and hospitalisation.

In one particular viral clip, she is being remembered for her bold interview on the American news outlet ‘New Nation’.

She defended South Africa against the false narrative of a white genocide.

“I was irritated, I was bored because some things about the South African experience should not be explained… I got the feeling that there are some pockets of the USA that are not willing to see,” she explained on Radio 702.

“She’s gone but she will live on… hard worker, and tough, thick skin… sitting there in front of politicians and world leaders holding her own.”
