CAPE TOWN - Amid fears of food poisoning in various parts of the country, the Western Cape Education Department has confirmed 20 Mzamomtsha Primary School pupils in Driftsands, in Mfuleni, have been discharged from a clinic.

The department's Bronagh Hammond said that the cause of the stomach cramps remains unknown.
"The Western Cape Education Department can confirm that approximately 20 learners from the school were taken to hospital after complaining of stomach cramps, and were later discharged."
Some of the affected learners have returned to school.
