The Western Cape Education Department is urging parents to act fast on late school applications.
Parents and guardians are being reminded to take advantage of the late online application window to secure school placements for children entering Grade R, 1 and 8 next year.
Late online applications for these grades are open until 17 May.

The provincial education department says there are still 1,441 current Grade 7 learners in the province whose parents have not yet applied for Grade 8 places for next year.
"Parents are responsible for applying for a place in a school for their child. We urge parents to apply immediately, to help us plan for a place in a school for their child next year," said Education MEC David Maynier.
