The Pretoria North Magistrates Court will hand down the bail judgement for disgraced police officer Fannie Nkosi on Wednesday.
Nkosi has been applying for bail since his arrest at his home earlier in April.
The suspended sergeant was arrested for the firearms, ammunition and dockets found in his home.
He faces charges for contravening the Firearms Control Act and the theft of dockets, with the State claiming that Nkosi hid the dockets to shield suspected criminals and frustrate police investigations.

During the bail application, the onus was on Nkosi to prove that his release was in the interest of justice.
He’s argued that the charges against him are frivolous, denying each of them from how he allegedly acted to assist suspected criminals by stealing their dockets, to how he is likely to interfere with the case against him because of his understanding of the South African Police Service (SAPS) processes and his knowledge of the investigators.
While Nkosi had told the court that he feared for his life while behind bars, the State has argued that he would be safer in prison.
The State claims that Nkosi lived the life of a delinquent and has shown disregard for the law.
Magistrate Thandi Theledi must decide whether Nkosi has proven his eligibility for bail.
