CAPE TOWN - Police are hunting the gunmen responsible for the murder of a 12-year-old girl in Mitchells Plain.
The child was killed on the premises of a school in Beacon Valley by a gangster's stray bullet.
The shooting happened at 11am on Tuesday.
The police’s Joseph Swartbooi: "The 12-year-old girl was caught in the cross-fire between rival gangs and was shot and killed by a stray bullet. The unknown suspects fled the scene and they are yet to be arrested. Anyone with information is kindly requested to contact the investigating officer of the Anti-Gang Unit, Detective Sergeant Bradley Schuurman on 071 673 3841."
