Multiple-vehicle crash on R24 in Edenvale, prompts temporary highway closure

JOHANNESBURG - A multiple-vehicle crash on the R24 in the East Rand has caused traffic to be at a standstill.
Motorists have been unable to move on the route from Isando Road to the N12 merge.
The cause of the Thursday morning crash is not yet known.
Gauteng traffic police spokesperson Obed Sibasa said the highway would be closed for some time.
"We appeal to road users to please avoid and use alternative routes to allow authorities to deal with reconstruction of the scene."
