This is as some parts of the city recover from widespread water disruptions after the Eikenhof pump station's substation was struck by lightning last weekend.
Johannesburg Water said the power outage at the Zwartkopjes pump station would likely affect water supply to Yeoville, Crown Gardens, Glenvista, and Kibler Park.
It said the station remains off with no timeframe provided as to when repairs will be completed.
Meanwhile, the utility said it is still monitoring the system in Randburg and Linden, as these areas were hardest hit by the water outage last week.
It said while reservoirs in Randburg are slowly recovering, water levels in Linden remain critically low.
Residents have been urged to use water sparingly amid those challenges.
