De Lille promises to protect whistleblowers, eradicate corruption

JOHANNESBURG - GOOD party leader Patricia de Lille has promised to address corruption in the country, if her party is elected into power in the upcoming elections.
This was among the commitments made by de Lille during the party's manifesto launch in Sandton on Saturday.

She said while many manifestos that have been launched speak of eradicating corruption, she believes she is up for the task as her reputation speaks for itself.
"When I moved across to tourism, among my first actions was to put a stop on the crooked Tottenham Hotspur deal and we saved the country one billion rand."
De Lille says an important step in dealing with corruption is the protection of whistleblowers.
"GOOD would like to see South Africa implement much stronger measures to defend whistleblowers, not only those in the ranks of civil service, but also in the private sector and our communities."
