JOHANNESBURG - New Sizok'thola presenter Xolani Maphanga was arrested in a case of mistaken identity.

The City Press reported that the Moja Love presenter was nabbed and later released.

The arrest and his subsequent release took place earlier in March after police believed he was another Moja Love presenter, Xolani Khumalo, who is on trial for murder.

In the latest incident, a victim accused Khumalo of shooting him in the arm after the presenter and his team assumed he was a drug dealer.

The victim opened a case at the police station but later dropped the case after he said the matter was resolved out of court.

Maphanga said the police since apologised to him and added that he was disappointed that Khumalo had not reached out to him.
