KZN police net suspect for shooting & killing 3 vehicle occupants, injuring 1 other

JOHANNESBURG - Kwazulu-Natal police have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of three people and the attempted murder of one other in Pietermaritzburg.

Police say the shooter approached a vehicle the victims were occupying and opened fire without saying a word.

Three people were declared dead on the scene, while another sustained a gunshot wound to the arm.

"The motive of the killings is unknown at this stage, although it is believed it could be related to a woman, who was picked up from a local night club with another man by one of the deceased who was an e-hailing [vehicle] driver," said police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda.
