For the big bucks, you get 100 opulent chambers on a sprawling 1,000 hectares of land, and your very own lake.

Lester Kiewit interviews Adam Gilchrist about this and other trending world news.

Looking to upgrade your digs? Well, how about claiming the throne of the cosmos's priciest palace – all for the mere sum of R8,622,112,851 (£363 million)?

Behold the majestic Château d’Armainvilliers, nestled in Seine-et-Marne, a mere skip, hop and jump away from Paris's bustling core.

It has a regal count of 100 chambers across 2,500 square meters of opulent living space, and a sprawling 1,000 hectares of land, including a personal lake.

Constructed upon the ancient bones of a 12th-century fortress, this masterpiece was once graced by the generations of the Rothschild banking dynasty, until they sold it to the illustrious King Hassan II of Morocco in the 80s.

Now, after a touch of royal refurbishment, the estate boasts a hammam spa fit for the gods, a salon for the divine upkeep of beauty, stables big enough for 50 horses, and even a top-notch medical and dental facility for those inevitable royal mishaps.

Yet, even with such splendor on offer, luxury property agents say they’re not sure if the nine-figure sum will sell, with one calling the price tag 'unrealistic'.

Is it worth the price? You decide (skip to 2:50):

"I mean, how much is the Palace of Versailles? It might be cheaper."
