It's a bird, it's a plane, it's Superman putting on his boots!

DC and Superman fans, 'Superman: Legacy' will be released on 11 July 2025, directed by the legendary James Gunn.

Gunn is the writer-director who made the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' household names for Marvel and revived 'The Suicide Squad' for DC, before signing on to revamp DC Studios last year.

Superman, AKA, Clark Kent will be played by David Corenswet who will be balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing and replaces Henry Cavill in the new film.

Corenswet will act alongside Rachel Brosnahan (32) who plays Lois Lane.

Corenswet is best known for playing Jake alongside Lili Reinhart in the 2022 Netflix film 'Look Both Ways' and has previously also starred in 'Hollywood', 'The Politician', and A24 film, 'Pearl'.

On Monday, 6 April, Corenswet shared the first photo of himself as Superman to his Instagram with the caption, 'Get ready' - red boots, cape and all.

The image shows Corenswet pulling up his Superman boots with a high rise building with a streak of purple light behind him, looking mysterious and ready to save the world, of course.

The actor also shared a photo of himself with the new Lois Lane and Gunn reading a Superman comic.
