Lester Kiewit speaks to Sunbet COO Gideon Mann.

Sunbet launched a platform to bet on outcomes for the 2024 Elections.

Members of the public can place small wagers on election outcomes such as the EFF’s Julius Malema being appointed the Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development or who will be elected the next President of South Africa.

South Africans are betting on President Cyril Ramaphosa keeping his title.

Ramaphosa is a 'heavy favourite' and most betted on by younger women.

Want to play? Place bets on Sunbets website under the 'Politics / South Africa / Elections' section.

"What we've done is do this in a very fun and light hearted way. So far, we've just launched and we've got a couple thousand of bets in so far."
- Gideon Mann, COO - Sunbet

Other light-hearted wager selections include Minister of Sport, with many betters placing their money on Rassie Erasmus - if only.

The website hosts many other categories, check it out here.

South Africans continue to find joy in divisive situations - politics is one of them.
