Gauteng EFF says ANC using govt of national unity to mask intent to partner with DA

JOHANNESBURG - The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in Gauteng said the African National Congress (ANC) was using the government of national unity (GNU) to mask its intent to join hands with the Democratic Alliance (DA).
The party has refused to form part of a provincial unity government that involves the DA and Freedom Front (FF) Plus.

Political parties have until Thursday to find common ground, as the first sitting of the provincial legislature is scheduled for Friday.
EFF Gauteng chairperson, Nkululeko Dunga, said the party would not compromise on its values to work with its political rivals.
"We are not obsessed with the position of power-mongering and position-mongering. There are principles that we adhere to and if those are not adhered to, it dictates that we go to the opposition benches and so be it."
