CAPE TOWN - The South African Weather Service has issued a yellow level 2 warning for disruptive rain and strong winds for most parts of the Western Cape on Wednesday.
This may lead to localised flooding of formal and informal settlements.
Sea users might also find it difficult to navigate small vessels and personal watercraft, like kayaks.
The City of Cape Town said that the inclement weather could also lead to high electricity service requests and impact repair turnaround times.
The city's Luthando Tyhalibongo: "The city reminds residents that our teams will attend to service requests in the fastest time possible, if safe to proceed."
