Southern Cape police launch search for missing George teen

CAPE TOWN - Police in the Southern Cape have launched a search for a 19-year-old who disappeared in Thembalethu, in George.

According to her relatives, Amile Gibiseza was last seen leaving her home last Wednesday.

The teenager apparently informed her family that she was attending extra classes at school.

But they became worried and alerted police when she did not return home.

Police spokesperson Malcolm Pojie: "She never returned home and was subsequently reported as missing. Anyone who can assist with information that will lead to Amile's safe return is kindly requested to contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Frank Goliath at 079 894 1576 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111."
