It was a night of many firsts for Fezile Mkhize during this year's Mister Supranational pageant.

The medical doctor and television presenter became the first black, South African, and African to win the eighth edition of the pageant in Poland on Thursday.

He joins former Miss South Africa Lalela Mswane in the history books after she became the first black woman and South African to win the Miss Supranational pageant in 2022.

In a video posted on social media, Mkhize said he dedicates this win to his late aunt and the national director of Mister Supranational South Africa, Wayne Stafford, who also passed away.

He also thanked South Africans for their support during his Mister Supranational journey.

South Africa will be hoping to bring home another title when Bryoni Govender represents the country at the 15th edition of the Miss Supranational pageant taking place on 6 July 2024.
