JOHANNESBURG - Former President Jacob Zuma has rejected the resignation of uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party secretary general Arthur Zwane.
Zwane stepped down from the position earlier in July, citing an overwhelming workload.
However, the political party has on Thursday announced Zwane's return to his position in the organisation after reaching an agreement with Zuma.
“In effect, it was a temporary measure. The president didn’t want him to go at all,” said MK Party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndlela.
“They came to an agreement that he could go on and deal with the issues he wanted to deal with. He’s resolved the issues that he had to attend to and he’s back.”
