JOHANNESBURG - The Patriotic Alliance (PA) says it has not abandoned its bid for the mass deportation of illegal immigrants despite its attempt to head the Department of Home Affairs failing to come to fruition.
The party, which is represented in the Government of National Unity (GNU), has anchored its manifesto on acting against undocumented foreign nationals.
PA deputy leader Kenny Kunene said the party will ensure its policies find representation in President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Cabinet.
“The issue of mass deportation of illegal immigrants must find expression there, the issue of bringing back God to schools must also find expression there.
"So, our manifesto, our turnaround strategy, must find expression on how the government is going to plan its five years.”
