'Die Plaat Beach' just east of Hermanus is officially world-renowned!

'Die Plaat Beach' is a CapeNature beach within Walker Bay Nature Reserve near Hermanus in the Overberg district of the Western Cape. It is the only beach in South Africa recognised as one of the world's best by Condé Nast Traveller.

The global media house included 'Die Plaat Beach' on their list of ‘The Best Beaches in the World', ranking it 10th on the list of 34 of the best beaches globally.

Condé Nast Traveller described 'Die Plaat Beach' as ‘a ruggedly beautiful swath of sand fringed by rocky limestone outcrops'.
