4 people killed in Joburg CBD building fire

JOHANNESBURG: At least four people have been killed in a fire at a three-storey building in the Johannesburg CBD.
Three others were treated for injuries and smoke inhalation.
It's understood that the fire broke out during the early hours of Sunday morning in Jeppestown.
Emergency Management Services (EMS) spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi:
“Firefighters have recovered bodies while conducting search and recovery operation. We also have patients treated for injuries and smoke inhalation. They were transported to the nearest health facility.”
Firefighters continued to fight the blaze on Sunday morning.
The cause of the fire is not known, but investigations are underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
