5 suspected ‘construction mafia’ members to make first court appearance in KZN

DURBAN - Five suspected members of the so-called construction mafia are expected to make their first court appearance in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday.
The group was nabbed on Sunday.
For years, construction syndicates have been hijacking government projects, demanding protection fees.
Police's Robert Netshiunda said: "The five suspects, aged between 28 and 44 years old, will appear in the Camperdown Magistrates Court on Monday, 26 August 2024."
