CAPE TOWN - Alleged 28s gang boss, Ralph Stanfield and an associate have been charged with the murder of Hard Livings gang leader Rashied Staggie.
This was revealed in the Cape Town Magistrates Court on Friday.
The pair appeared with 12 others in a gang trial via video link from prison.
They face a raft of charges, including murder, attempted murder, and gun-related charges.
The State has revealed it is adding charges of conspiracy to commit murder and murder against Stanfield and his associate, Jonathan Cloete, who are already facing 32 other serious charges.
The corruption case involving former Cape Town Human Settlements Mayoral Committee Member (MMC) Malusi Booi will be added to Stanfield's case.
Prosecutors believe Stanfield orchestrated a multi-million-rand housing racket involving the city's Human Settlements directorate.
Booi and nine of his co-accused are expected in court on Friday to continue a bail application.
The group made its first appearance on Wednesday.
