OpenAI unveils SCARY GOOD 'voice mode'

OpenAI has started rolling out ‘advanced voice mode’ for people with subscriptions.

Users with ChatGPT subscriptions, which start at US$20 per month, will soon have access to OpenAI's advanced voice mode.

This is not just a robot voice speaking back to you.

The ChatGPT voice can be customised to speak in dozens of different styles in real-time.

In a test, AI content strategist Gavin Purcell showed the AI tool seamlessly switching between standard speaking, an Old English style, and even speaking like a monkey.

The ChatGPT voice mode responds to the user with natural conversation patterns.

Ebrahim says other AI models, including Meta AI and Gemini, are working swiftly to offer similar technology.
