CAPE TOWN - A 14-year-old girl has died after a Quantum minibus taxi carrying schoolchildren overturned in Mitchells Plain.
The incident happened on Swartklip Road on Friday morning.
Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide, and the 25-year-old driver has been arrested.
The police's Frederick Van Wyk:
"Our preliminary report thus far is that the taxi transporting school children to different schools lost control and overturned... Some of the injured learners were transported to nearby hospitals."
