JOHANNESBURG - South Africa wants to bolster ties with fellow BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) powerhouse China.
Minister in the Presidency for Planning, Monitoring ,and Evaluation Maropene Ramokgopa will lead a government delegation to the country next week.
The South African government wants to strengthen its links with China’s state-owned enterprises in particular, tapping into what the minister called China's model for effective governance.
The department's Litha Mpondwana said they're following up on the commitments under the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
