This weekend one South African runner will become the millionth unique parkrunner to cross the finish line.

From the first South African event at Delta Park in 2011 with just 29 runners, parkrun has grown exponentially with 220 live events every weekend.
Tens of thousands of South Africans gather every Saturday morning for a 5 km course.
