Over 5,300 trained staff ready to assist firefighting efforts across SA - Working on Fire

CAPE TOWN - Working on Fire said it has more than 5,300 trained staff to help with firefighting efforts across in the country. 

Its volunteers are often called upon to assist teams locally and internationally to extinguish fires.

Just a few days ago, fire fighters were battling blazes in Paarl and along Chapmans Peak. 

Spokesperson for the organisation, Linton Rensburg, said: "They have undergone extensive yellow card training over the last couple of months to ensure that they fit and ready for the fire season. They’ve also undergone fitness tests and refresher training."
