Survey ranks top Christmas songs (Mariah Carey is NOT number 1)

We have seen dozens of Christmas and holiday-themed chart toppers over the season.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) asked 2,000 Brits to rank their top 10 favourite festive songs. 

The top five Christmas songs were:

1. Wham! – Last Christmas 
2. The Poges – Fairytale of New York 
3. Mariah Carey – All I Want for Christmas Is You
4. (tied) Silent Night; Michael Bublé – It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas; and Band Aid – Do They Know It’s Christmas 
5. Bing Crosby – White Christmas
