Two teens killed in Lavender Hill in suspected gang-related shooting

CAPE TOWN - A 13-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy have been killed in a suspected gang-related shooting in Lavender Hill.
 
The incident happened in Hilary Drive, shortly before 7pm on Tuesday.
 
The victims sustained gunshot wounds to the head and legs.
 
The police's Frederick van Wyk said Steenberg detectives were investigating two counts of murder.

"It's alleged that a white Toyota Corolla with unknown suspects inside shot at them in a drive-by shooting. The motive is believed to be gang-related. There is currently gang conflict between local gang groupings in the area."
