TMPD officer shot and killed by her significant other in Pretoria West

JOHANNESBURG - A City of Tshwane metro police officer has been shot and killed by her significant other in Pretoria West.

The metro said that the incident occurred at her home in Loftus Gardens.

It is alleged that the suspect fled the scene using the victim's vehicle but was later found and arrested in Limpopo on Tuesday.

Tshwane metro spokesperson, Isaac Mahamba: "The details leading to this tragedy is unknown and the case is currently being investigated by the South African Police Service. The identity of the deceased TMPD member cannot be disclosed at this stage until we are certain that the family and relatives are formally notified."
