JOHANNESBURG - The case against popular traditional healer Makgotso "Gogo Maweni" Mofokeng has been postponed ahead of her trial.
Maweni was arrested in January in connection with a 2019 assault case where she allegedly attacked an individual with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

On Tuesday, she made a brief appearance in the Protea Magistrates Court, where a trial date was set.
A seemingly relaxed Maweni stood in the dock for less than a minute as the court formally set 16 March as the start of proceedings.
Both the State and her defence team agreed to the date, saying their trial bundles, including witness statements, expert reports, and medical records, would be ready for presentation.
Her bail has also been extended, meaning she will remain out of custody until her day in court.
The traditional healer, who has a strong following both online and in spiritual circles, has yet to publicly comment on the case, but her legal representative maintains she intends to clear her name.
