DURBAN - The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party is demanding an apology from its member of Parliament (MP), Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, for insulting the party's secretary-general, Floyd Shivambu.
Sambudla-Zuma posted on X on Monday night, referring to Shivambu as the worst thing that has ever happened to the party.

She further used strong language against the secretary, saying she was not scared of him.
The party on Tuesday morning released a statement, saying that her actions were against the organisation's code of conduct.
Speculation that MK Party leader Jacob Zuma’s daughter was not in favour of Shivambu’s appointment as party secretary-general was somewhat confirmed after she publicly lashed out at him.
Though it is not yet clear what prompted the insults, Zuma-Sambudla used her personal X account to make the remarks.
The party released a statement directed at its president, Zuma, ordering his daughter to issue an unconditional public apology in this regard.
She is also expected to extend an apology to all party structures she serves.
Failure to do this, the party said, would result in Zuma-Sambudla's party membership being terminated, and she would be relieved from all her duties.
