Postbank says 20 March final deadline extension to swap Sassa gold cards for black cards

JOHANNESBURG - The Postbank has urged Sassa beneficiaries to use the additional time granted to them to swap their gold cards with Postbank black cards.
This week, the deadline for the switch was extended from 28 February to 20 March.

Communications and Digital Technologies Mininster Solly Malatsi and Social Development Minister Nokuzola Tolashe say the decision was made after listening to the concerns of beneficiaries, and taking into account the challenges faced during the swap process.
Postbank spokesperson Bongani Diako says the deadline extension is the last that will be granted to beneficiaries.
"Starting from the 20th of March, all Sassa gold cards will be switched off and they will be stopped from working. The cards will not work to withdraw cash, or even check balances either at the ATMs or retailers."
