The Skhosana family and the suspect’s family filled the pews in the regional courtroom earlier on Friday morning.
The State had asked for the case to be postponed to 27 February.
Skhosana’s brother said they accept the court’s decision to have the procedures at a later date.
“We are a bit calm, and we are agreeing with the court that, let them on the 27th let us hear what the bail application is going to say.”
He adds that all they want to see is justice take place.
