Modack is in the dock to account for the 122 charges he faces, including the murder of top cop Charl Kinnear.

CAPE TOWN - Alleged underworld gang boss Nafiz Modack is set to continue his testimony in the Western Cape High Court on Monday.

Modack and his 14 co-accused face various charges for crimes related to allegedly operating a criminal enterprise.

He is in the dock to account for the 122 charges he faces, including the murder of top cop Charl Kinnear.

Modack began his testimony by accusing two former top cops, Jeremy Vearey and Kinnear, of being involved in a plot to have him killed.

Kinnear's murder in September 2020 is the subject of a slew of charges Modack faces.

Modack told the court Vearey and Kinnear were in cahoots with his rival, alleged underworld figure Mark Lifman, who was shot dead in George in 2024.

Modack has denied giving co-accused Amaal Jantjies and her then-boyfriend, Yannick Adonis, instructions to kill Kinnear, while also denying paying co-accused Zane Kilian to ping Kinnear on the day of his murder.
