Kfm's Carl Wastie speaks to Nasty C who featured on Front Row Fridays for a sneak peek on what to expect at Galaxy KDay.
We love Fridays on The Flash Drive because Carl brings nothing but the best talent to the studio, who gives an epic performance to a live audience.
Just in case you missed last Friday's front row, Nasty C was in studio.
Nasty C spoke about how everything he does is dedicated to his mom and his love for her—his latest tour, Ivy Son, is named after her, along with his other endeavours, including gaming and entertainment companies.
"If you know anything about me, you know how much I love my mother, how much I praise her and I consider her to be an angel... she's someone I didn't get a chance to enjoy as a mother figure growing up because she passed away very early but through stories I heard from my father and sisters, she's been an angel and shining light throughout this whole journey," Nasty C explained.
Nasty C also celebrates a decade in the industry this year.
On 10 years of success in the industry producing quality tunes, Nasty C says his music is "always personal."
"I've used my music as a diary that's why a lot of my fans feel like they know me on a personal level because I've taken them through this whole journey with me and I show them everything, the ups and the downs through the music... and I'm not afraid to get vulnerable and put my dirty laundry out there," Nasty C said.
"My music is always personal, it's always coming from the heart and it's always real," added Nasty C.
Of course, we couldn't let Nasty C go without asking him about his KDay performance...
Nasty C is excited to give the KDay audience a "performance worth watching."
Nasty C also said he "is in a very good place."
Lots of content and three music projects are also on Nasty C's to-do list this year.
If you can't wait until KDay, Nasty C's Ivy Son Tour hits Cape Town on 29 March.
In case you missed this epic interview, Nasty C performed live, and the energy was... unmatched!
