JOHANNESBURG - A suspect has been shot and killed and another arrested during a shoot-out with police and private security in Kensington.
A joint operation involving the South African Police Service (SAPS), the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) and private security firms took place on Monday afternoon following the leads of an Ethiopian national who was kidnapped on Sunday.
It's alleged that upon entering the property, one of the suspects opened fire on police who retaliated, killing him.
Two rifles and vehicles, suspected to have been used for crime were recovered and the victim was successfully rescued.
