JOHANNESBURG - Journalist Sibusiso Ndlovu and his partner Zodwa Mdhuli went missing in February.
They still have not been found, and there have been no leads in the investigation.
Ndlovu was last seen at his workplace in Denlyn Mall, Pretoria.
Ndlovu is a journalist with Capital Live, a radio station in Denyln Mall.
He is also a member of the National Press Club committee.
On 18 February, he was last seen on the Denyln Malls CCTV footage going to his car.
In the same month, his house in KwaMhlanga, Mpumalanga, was broken into. It’s understood that some furniture and clothes were stolen from the house.
His car does not have a tracking device and still has not been found.
Mdhuli's family also reported a missing person's case when she did not return home that day.
While investigations continue, Premier Panyaza Lesufi has visited the families to assure them of the government's commitment to finding them.
He revealed that no arrests have been made regarding the missing couple.
On Wednesday, Lesufi said police remain confident that the pair will be found.
“My presence here today [Wednesday], is just to assure the family that we are working on the matter. I got a very encouraging full briefing from the law enforcement agencies.”
Lesufi added that police found money withdrawals were made from Ndlovu's bank account.
“There were two bank accounts; the other bank account is still intact, no movement, it’s only one bank account, there were movements in small amounts”
He says they traced the locations of the withdrawals, but were unable to find any suspects.
