Police confirm vehicle pulled from Hennops River the one 3 officers were driving when they went missing

JOHANNESBURG - Police have confirmed that the vehicle retrieved from the Hennops River in Centurion was the one three officers were driving when they went missing.
The VW Polo was located on Thursday morning and police have brought it to the surface.

Constables Cebekhulu Linda, Keamogetswe Buys and Boipelo Senoge went missing after travelling from Bloemfontein to their area of deployment in Polokwane last week.
Their bodies were recovered and positively identified this week.
It's understood that they crashed into the river shortly after 2am on Thursday morning.
Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe: "We have confirmed. There were SAPS divers as well as Tshwane divers that are down there. They have been communicating with our teams on the ground. They did check the VIN number, they did check the chassis number. This is indeed the vehicle, the VW Polo, that we have been looking for."
