Court power outage delays proceedings in missing journalist, partner case
The couple has still not been found since they went missing earlier in 2025.
JOHANNESBURG - The Mamelodi Magistrates Court has been hit by a power outage, delaying matters including that of a suspect arrested in connection with the disappearance of a journalist, Aserie Ndlovu, and his partner, Zodwa Mdhluli.
The couple has still not been found since they went missing earlier in 2025.

Four suspects were arrested over the weekend, including the man who was last seen with the couple.
Family members, friends, and colleagues of the missing couple arrived early in court on Tuesday morning with hopes that more information would be divulged about how their loved ones went missing.
Despite a power outage in court, those gathered there said they will not lose steam, as they are crossing their fingers that electricity will be restored.
Proceedings were expected to start at 10 o'clock in court B, where the suspect was expected to appear in the dock.
Court officials have not communicated what the cause of the power outage is, and whether the matter will proceed on Tuesday.
Three other suspects linked to the case will appear in court in KwaMhlanga later this week.
