JOHANNESBURG - The Gauteng Education Department is calling for calm at Musi High School in Pimville, Soweto, after classes were disrupted by a protest following the death of a Grade 11 pupil.
Eighteen-year-old Mcebo Biyela was killed on Tuesday after being stabbed and hit with a baseball bat at Motswaledi soccer ground in Kliptown.
Police have arrested two suspects linked to the case, and they briefly appeared before the Lenasia Magistrates Court on Thursday.

"What we did today was to send the psycho social support to the school to provide necessary counselling, and we extend our deepest condolences to the family and school community."
