[WATCH] Pope Leo XIV imparts first blessing
Robert Francis Prevost has been elected as the first pope from the United States. He becomes the Catholic Church's 267th pontiff, taking the papal name Leo XIV.

Robert Francis Prevost has been elected as the first pope from the United States. He becomes the Catholic Church's 267th pontiff, taking the papal name Leo XIV. After he made his appearance, he imparted his first "Urbi et Orbi" ("To the City and the World") blessing, in front of the crowd gathered on St Peter's Square Picture: AFP.
